Hi there. You are totally incorrect, sorry. We NEVER insert "copy & paste" maps into a vehicle's ECU, ever. ALL of our custom dyno tuning is completely customised for every vehicle, live on one of our dynos... We are 100% not a "load & go" performance centre, we completely customise the stock file using our software. Across our workshops & our dealer network, we custom dyno tune several vehicles per week that have had a "load & go" or "copy & paste" tune done elsewhere, with far better & safer results. No need for an expensive supplementary ECU with what we do either - it's all done via the factory ECU. It doesnt describe how you can manupilate your map live on a stock ecu which is my point you just feed values into a map and hope for the best @@UltimateDieselTuning

​@@hugokleynhans9595 Hugo. Please feel free to call us on 1800034373 & speak to one of our Engineers & he will talk to you about how the maps in a factory ECU are modified... In simple terms, the ECU is read, the car is run on the dyno, the base parameters are recorded. The file's parameters are modified by one of our Engineers, the file is then inserted back into the ECU, the car is run again several times on the dyno to check everything. The file is then modified again, then inserted back into the ECU again. The car is run again to check everything, then the file is modified again, and so on, until targeted parameters are met, based on the vehicle's use & the customer's goals for the tune. This is exactly what is said in that video. This is how diesel ECUs are tuned, it's all done live whilst the vehicle is on the dyno. If you "copy & paste/load & go", which is NOT what we do, then you are not changing any parameters within the ECU. Cheers.

No, you're incorrect there sorry. Other chemical cleans might not do anything, but ours do work & they work well. We spent a long time testing different concoctions & doing lots of R&D on them, until we found a custom concoction that works. And no, it's not dumped into your block. It's dissolved & then it dissipates out the exhaust as vapour. I would suggest that you watch our soot cleaning videos that we have done for a better understanding of our soot cleaning service.

If you are referring to the clutch, then the factory ones are questionable, we do recommend upgrading to a heavy-duty one before tuning. But it's not 100% a necessity, unless we are doing a full-on max power/torque custom dyno tune.

We've had a lot of success with our Trans Packs (trans tune & lock up kit) for the auto Toyotas, we have not fitted one to a D-Max as yet. However, the general feedback we get from our D-Max/MU-X & BT-50 (4JJ3) customers is that just with a custom dyno tune by us alone, the gearbox shifting is also greatly improved.

Hi mate. Always a good idea, we do intercooler upgrades for them. If you tow, then a trans cooler is also a great option... Intercooler needs to be tuned, trans cooler doesn't.

Yes we do. We tune within the factory safety parameters in the ECU, which are set by the manufacturer as well. So it's safe & reliable.

No it's not. Sometimes, an engine ECU tune will improve transmission shifting as well in some models.

factory claims it makes 160kw. the dyno sheet shown, displays the initial run of 113kw, and the post tune run of 131kw. The differences in weather, dyno model, age and condition all play a factor in what is actually represented in dyno runs.

No man, you are not understanding my point. MUX= 140KW 450NM on the fly factory stock LDV= 160KW 500NM on the fly factory stock But the initial readings on the dyno on the wheels are lower than the Isuzu. So what I'm trying to bring across is the discrepancy and wondering why 😏.. I know what is LDV and MUX by the way.

@@izzydlamini4462 the figures your stating are from the flywheel and not measured at the wheels on a dyno.

A snorkel = no, unless you replace the entire airbox, airflow meter & all piping as well. Exhaust, no, but it's always a good idea to fit a free-flowing muffler to help the engine breath a bit better.

It's like one bolt for the placement of it for a 200 Series. On some engines, you don't have to unbolt it at all - it is dependent on the room available around the mounting point. Most of our customers have mechanics do this, each time they have their vehicle serviced.
